Design: Stephen Sprouse and Louis Vuitton

Posted by editor On May - 12 - 2009

Stephen Sprouse collaboration with Louis Vuitton this spring 2009 has produced quite an eye candy by its vibrant design with bright neon colors. This neon colors seems to bring that “glow in the dark” effect which is quite edgy and modern. Louis Vuitton has produce a product that merge graphic artist with classic fashion – it does not result in such a bad combination, after all the past Fall 2006 collection of Stephen Sprouse’s 1987 grafiti leopard images for Louis Vuitton handbags, shoes, and scarves sold-out instantly. Following pictures show Sprouse’s design on scarf, jewelry and bag. I love the design on that jewelry padlock.

Get The Look For Less – Chanel Classic Flap 2.55

Posted by Smurfette On February - 20 - 2009

Chanel flap bag is a timeless classic bag that will never go out of style. It was first introduced in February 1955 by Coco Chanel and it is still stylish right now.

Retail for $3,000

I know it’s a crazy price for a tiny bag, but lucky for us, designers always copy each other all the time.

Here is a cheaper version from Moschino Cheap and Chic B7310 Shoulder Bag

On sale on Amazon for $387.89

Here is the super cheap version from forever 21

Retails at $20.80 (and that is before sale)

I am sure the Moschino Cheap and Chic version will be a good quality and long lasting bag. However, I can’t say the same for the Forever 21 bag. But if you are the type of girl that gets bored easily with her purse than the $20 one is fine. (It will probably last long enough until you are totally over it)

Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 Epi Leather Retails for $1,050.00

When I look at the Speedy 30 Epi, I always think of it as a classic handbag. I love classic handbags for many reasons. First of all, they will never go out of style. Second, we can wear it with anything, especially when they are in neutral colors. For those reasons alone, I think it is wise to make the investment. However, not everyone is willing to spend a thousand dollars just for a handbag, especially in today’s economy. Don’t worry ladies, you can still be stylish without breaking the bank. Here I found a bag that has a very similar silhouette and size for a lot less. It’s Elliot Lucca Runway Satchel (I’m saying a lot less because the LV bags are never on sale, on the other hand EL bags are very often on sale, I got mine for a little bit over a hundred dollars from off 5th)

Elliott Lucca Runway Satchel Retails for $398

The way I wear this bag is without the EL charm, since I don’t like any logo on my bags and also that way it looks more like the LV speedy 🙂
