Non Messy Way To Pour Pancake Batter

Posted by Smurfette On March - 5 - 2009

I like making pancake for my family. It is easy, fast and yummy. However, I don’t like that I always spill some batter on the stove or on the counter top or sometimes it drips on the side of my mixing bowl. After I am done making the pancakes all the spilled batter usually gets hard and stuck, making it hard for me to clean up. Does it happen to you too?

I found this great tip from Real Simple, using empty ketchup bottle as your batter container. What a brilliant idea? I usually recycle my ketchup bottles but now I will save one. Especially the ketchup bottle that I got from Costco, because it is big and can hold more batter. I can’t wait to finish my ketchup 😛

Ketchup Bottle as Pancake Batter Dispenser
A clever way to repurpose an everyday item.
Original purpose: Flavoring Mom’s meat loaf.
Aha! use: Portioning pancake batter with precision―and without the usual mess of transferring batter from the bowl. Squeeze out baby-size or plate-size rounds, or add Mickey Mouse ears to a batch of silver dollars.
Reward: Restaurant-worthy flapjacks.
