Amazon was aggressively promoting their Amazon Prime – 2 day-shipping for FREE, and I fell for it last month. I probably clicked on the link without really thinking, like a sheep.
Now when I see my credit card statement, I see a charge “& AMZ* Prime Club – NV” For $79.00 . Well, Amazon didn’t send any email confirmation for the charge or anything.
Well I was quick to do some Google search and found that apparently there are SO MANY PEOPLE that were having the same issues.
How to get the refund of Amazon Prime
1) Call Amazon Customer Service at 1-866-557-2820 —
2) and press “7″ and you will get directly to a customer service representative.
3) Say it politely and courteously: “I would like to get a refund of the Amazon Prime charge – could you please help me for it”. That should do the trick.
This is probably much easier than calling your credit card company to file a chargeback complaint or dispute.
And, anyway for the Moms out there:
Amazon is now offering 20% of BRITAX Car seat products until the end of the month. Check it out.

There’s an even easier way! On the Amazon site, under your account, there’s a Manager Prime Membership tab, and there you can cancel your membership (didn’t even take a minute), it then sent me a confirmtion email and when I checked my bank account an hour later, it was already back in my account!

Just called, told them I thought I had cancelled the Prime before the charge was made. She cancelled it and refunded it. Took all of 3 minutes. THANKS!

I’ve been using etsy for almost 6 years now to sell my jewelry. It brings in a good bit of extra cash, especially as the holiday season approaches. However, the jewelry catalog is painfully overcrowded, so you can get lost in the bunch and not get many views unless you relist often. Thanks for your information, and I got 79 dollars refund, after I call 1- 866-557-2820 and wait customer service representative.
I called Amazon and they took care of both the 79.00 charges(my husbands account and my account were both charged). It took longer than 10 minutes and I couldn’t get any explanation as to why this has happened…. Hopefully the charge won’t show up again next month… I also found a charge from last year (Christmas Day!) but apparently didn’t catch it. Would never had expected a company like Amazon to pull this kind of sneaky crap.
For those calling Amazon…I think it probably would have been easier to do this through the website, but I wanted to hear a human voice tell me the charge would be refunded.

It was on my AMEX – no record of siging up or any confirming e*mail that my account had been signed up for this – but they took care of it on the 866 number – no problem… makes you kind of suspicious though…

I never signed up for this free trial that apparently automatically enrolls you in this Amazon Prime/recurring $79 charge…so I have no idea how this happened…don’t think I’ve ever even ordered anything from Amazon.com…maybe once for a friend, years ago?

shit!! i was like what the f… i don’t remember doing any transaction with amazon prime immediately i called the card co. and was hot about this mishap…..she told me go to the bank 1st thing in the morning….then to my curiousity i googled ”amazon prime”….then i remembered when i clicked on the trial free shipping in amazon….lol…very simple n common steps…just be polite when asked for your email & billing address and that’s it…done!………..would be there in your account in 3-5 business days…
She provide useful advice through her articles that have
been found very useful. What’s even worse is when you get bombarded with phone calls demanding immediate payment for a payday loan that you don’t even owe.
Reason behind of it is that there is no delay in approving the finance for which you wish.
