Indoor Deck Room

Posted by editor On May - 19 - 2009

Summer is quite my favorite season because I love the warmth weather. However in some countries like Autralia June and July is the reverse it’s winter season there. So for a place like Australia, where the Summer comes in December (and in some places even filled with giant flies species) then perhaps an indoor deck might be a real treat to get a comfort over such situation. The picture above showing a deck ussage in an indoor environment. Sometimes when we think of  a deck we often think of it as an outdoor component. However if you see the above celebrity’s house’s inddor deck room then you will see how it can make a nice transitional room between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Artist’s Deceiving Creation: Invisible Car or Real Car?

Posted by editor On May - 14 - 2009

Look at the above picture? Can you believe that’s real? It’s hard to believe so especially for someone very familiar with photoshop and computer imaging technology. I thought it must be a photoshop picture at first, but indeed it’s for real.
A 22 years old Art student, Sara Watson spray painted a battered Skoda Fabia to match the car park and entrance to her art studio. She finished this project in three weeks.
If this is a little hard to believe try to look again closer to the details in the picture above. It takes time to appreciate art but this one certainly quite a unique piece of sculptural landscape piece of art. Now I wonder how will it look from another angle? I assume it certainly wouldn’t render that perfect see through illusion effect.

What a very nice and sleek invention of product for bathroom furniture. This is a sleek item for an interior designer to have a seamless medicine cabinet that doubles as a functional big across the wall mirror. Too bad the Uplifted Medicine Cabinet from Kohler wouldn’t be available in a “good-deal” kind of price. Kohler mentioned:

Uplift is aimed at the “high end,” and it has the pricing to prove it: The cabinets start at $2,000

Maybe the resemblance of this kind will come in the near future although quality might not be as good as the one designed by Robern, but it will hopefully serve the same purpose.

Design: Stephen Sprouse and Louis Vuitton

Posted by editor On May - 12 - 2009

Stephen Sprouse collaboration with Louis Vuitton this spring 2009 has produced quite an eye candy by its vibrant design with bright neon colors. This neon colors seems to bring that “glow in the dark” effect which is quite edgy and modern. Louis Vuitton has produce a product that merge graphic artist with classic fashion – it does not result in such a bad combination, after all the past Fall 2006 collection of Stephen Sprouse’s 1987 grafiti leopard images for Louis Vuitton handbags, shoes, and scarves sold-out instantly. Following pictures show Sprouse’s design on scarf, jewelry and bag. I love the design on that jewelry padlock.
