How do you get that beautiful big eye look?

Posted by editor On July - 5 - 2009

Most of the time eyes are quite the essential part that make-up artist try to work the longest to define the look. Well when you have to go to a party and don’t have the time to do long make up for the eyes there is a simple and easy solution to get away from putting liners, mascara, but still look the best.

I just have to stick with this techniques now since I have a very sensitive skin especially around the eyes and a speck of dust can really irritate me… so I tried to not apply mascara and eye liner but thanks to this fake eye lash solution from shu uemura that can help me looking the best without the need of eye liner and mascara.

Try to use this “Soft Crosses” fake lashes from shu uemura that will render a very natural looking lashes AND LINER too:

here’s a picture of my fake lashes application without mascara and without eyeliner just simply putting the fake lash on top of natural lash using shu uemura glue:

I think this is very suitable for sensitive eyes, just very careful and light when applying the eye lashes glue. As of my case I apply very very thinly and let it sit for about 3 – 5 seconds before applying it to the top of the lashes. Good Luck!

Buying safe cosmetic products will benefit your health

Posted by editor On July - 5 - 2009

Before you buy any cosmetic or make-up products be sure to know its compositions & ingredients because some of its ingredients may be harmful to your body. I recently buy some cosmetic products from “make up forever, Paris” but after going home and research I found this article from Fitsugar.com and decide to return these products.

Toxic and harmful things inside cosmetic ingredients label that you might want to avoid:

1. Methyl, Propyl, Butyl and Ethyl Parabens: Used as a preservative to inhibit microbial growth and extend shelf life. Preliminary research found parabens in human breast cancer tumors.

2. Diethanolamine (DEA), Triethanolamine (TEA): Foaming agents that can cause allergic reactions, eye irritation, and dryness of the hair and skin. DEA and TEA are toxic if absorbed into the body over a long period of time, and are associated with cancer in lab animals.

3. Diazolidinyl Urea, Imidazolidinyl Urea: Often used as preservatives, the American Academy of Dermatology has found these chemicals to be a primary cause of contact dermatitis (irritation caused by foreign substance). Both these chemicals release formaldehyde, which can be toxic.

4. Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate: This is a cheap, harsh detergent used in many shampoos for its ability to cleanse and foam. Often derived from petroleum, it causes eye irritation, dry scalp, skin rashes and other allergic reactions. Be on the lookout for pseudo-natural products that list this ingredient with the phrase “comes from coconuts” – it’s still bad for you.

5. Petrolatum: Also known as petroleum jelly, this is a mineral oil derivative that can clog your pores. This in turn disrupts your body’s natural ability to moisturize its own skin, leading to dryness and chapping. Manufacturers use it because it’s really inexpensive. Want to know what else you should avoid? Then read more

6. Propylene Glycol: Ideally this is a vegetable glycerin mixed with grain alcohol, both of which are natural, but it’s usually made from synthetic chemicals. It has been known to cause hives and eczema. Beware of related chemicals labeled PEG and PPG.

7. PVP/VA Copolymer: A petroleum-derived chemical that’s used in hair styling products and some cosmetics. Considered toxic since if inhaled, it can damage the lungs.

8. Stearalkonium Chloride: This toxic chemical was designed by the fabric industry for use as a fabric softener. Companies use it in hair conditioners and lotions because it’s much cheaper than natural conditioning ingredients such as proteins.

9. Synthetic Colors: Labeled as FD&C or D&C and followed by a number, these make products look pretty but can be carcinogenic.

10. Synthetic Fragrances: Labeled simply as “fragrance,” there’s no way to tell what chemicals are actually in the product. People can get headaches, dizziness, rashes, and respiratory problems from them. People may also experience hyper-pigmentation, which means this chemical may cause brown spots to form on your skin.

Bikini line and Bikini line extended waxing style and shapes

Bikini Line waxing is a waxing style that leave most of the pubic hair intact, including the back. This style of waxing is enough to make you feel confidence to wear a bikini on the beach or any other public spaces you may wish to go to.

Brazilian waxing styles and shapes

Brazilian waxing, being the most famous of all other waxing style is consider to be a quite fashionable waxing style. This type of waxing will remove all hair out completely from the bottom and leave a small portion on the frontal top area. If you wish you may “design” it, some brazilian spa menu named this design such as landing strips, bermuda triangle, and more. Brazilian waxing styles evolve to be fashionable with many patterns, shapes and kinds due to its popularity among Hollywood stars such as Paris Hilton, Demi Moore, … who claimed that SEX IS BETTER with less fur. Originally, this waxing style is only common among porn stars.

Fashionable and Popular Brazilian waxing styles and shapes (Hollywood style)

Brazilian waxing artist can really be creative in shaping the way your bottom ought to look. Anyhow this “clean as a whistle” as some SPA named it in their menu has its famous name: Hollywood style. When you ask for Hollywood style you basically ask to take everything off =)
